4X Revenue From Flows

in just 1 month!

Here’s how we did it:
strategy consulting

Problem

When the client came to us he already had some flows set up, but wasn't happy with the conversion rate he was seeing. He knew that much more revenue was waiting to be unlocked from his existing email list, and he was growing tired of spending countless hours per week sending campaigns and tweaking flows. His goal was to reclaim his time and increase his sales.

marketing strategies

Solution

After our initial strategy call, we identified 3 key areas for improvement; post purchase flows, exit intent popups, and more targeted campaigns.

The client had a below average retention rate of only 19%, so post purchase flows were a must to increase CLV and build an army of brand advocates. We used a combination of value and promotion based emails to keep subscribers both interested and primed to spend.

In our initial audit of the account we noted that the popup strategy was lacking. With no exit intent popups, site visitors were not being given the opportunity to sign up for the newsletter after they had viewed products (but not taken any actions towards a purchase). The popup that we implemented brought in 100s of emails in the first month and had a submission rate of over 18%!

The last area we addressed was weekly email campaigns. Prior to working with us the client was sending campaigns to his whole list every week. No segmentation, no targeted messaging, just the same people getting the same type of offers week in week out. We built out a number of segments that grouped people according to things like; purchase history, age, gender, location and engagement. Then send those segments email campaigns that were targeted to them, the results were significantly higher than before and the unsubscribe rate fell from 1.59% to 0.08% as a result.
